305 Flaxen Circle, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89107

Economic hurricanes and tornadoes—if those aren't reasons enough, then there is my own biological time bomb: too many cigarettes, too much alcohol and cheeseburgers in paradise. I’ve never heard it ticking when I was younger and more resilient, but lately, it's only getting louder and louder with every birthday. And my tinnitus doesn’t help, like an alarm is going off somewhere, but I don’t know where or why.

So DIY around the 305,

I got really lucky with OpenDoor – not a whole lot of interest and no other bidders. 305 Flaxen isn’t a big house, but it's besides a river, and at all times of the day I hear the currents, 18-wheelers, motorcycles, jeeps, Mustangs, sedans, SUVs, and minivans. The home sits right in the middle between Lorenzi Park and the Spring Preserve, and I can just imagine how it must have looked 100 years ago, 10,000 years ago before the Interstate, and 10,000 years after.

305 is very much like the last house, 3020, with the same shape and dimensions. I had many good times and adventures there with my good friend Jessica Dawn Hensley.

The following pictures are from Summer 2025, or July-September, during the time my brother Brett was working on his 2005 Lexus SUV with over 200,000 miles. I thought he would never fix it for a while. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
